Here’s the proof, a new photo of Ian McShane as Blackbeard just handed over to us by Disney, in which he’s thrusting his sword at the camera. Rarely does a lot of thrusting things at the camera ever happen in anything that isn’t shot in 3D, though, maybe it should.


The image, unlike the movie, is in 2D and the whole thrusting the sword at that camera thing still looks pretty cool. I don’t really need annoying glasses to enjoy it. It’s a great shot. Enjoy it in 2D below.
